Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate

The FORT BEND COUNTY M.U.D. !185 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2018 on September 19, 2018 at 12:00PM at 9 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1000, Houston, TX 77046. Your individual taxes may increase or decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property and the tax rate that is adopted.

PRESENT and not voting: None
ABSENT: Al Menconi and Scott Donahue

The following table compares taxes on an average residence homestead in this taxing unit last year to taxes proposed on the average residence homestead this year.

Notice of Taxpayers’ Right to Rollback Elections

If taxes on the average residence homestead increase by more than eight percent, the qualified voters of the district by petition may
require that an election be held to determine whether to reduce the operation and maintenance tax rate to the rollback tax rate under
Section 49.236(d), Water Code.

Winter Storm Warning

To all WCA Houston Area Customers,

The Houston area is now under a Winter Storm Warning in effect from early Tuesday morning to midnight Wednesday. The National Weather Service warns freezing rain, sleet and snow are possible north of Houston early Tuesday morning. The wintry mix will get closer to the city around lunch time, and conditions will worsen through the afternoon Tuesday.

This could possibly effect the service provided by WCA on Tuesday and Wednesday. Some areas may experience delays or may not be serviced. If your service is missed due to the weather, service will resume on the next scheduled service day.

We will monitor the weather and update you as the effects of the storm are clearer. We will follow with updates as soon as possible, when we are updated from our operations team. Updates will be sent out by email, Facebook, and our company website.
